Los Angeles In Less Than 24 Hours

Here's my guide to visiting Los Angeles in less than 24hours. This is an excellent way to kill time if you're waiting for an 8+ hours connecting flight out of LAX airport. I saw everything beautiful about LA in less than 24 hours.

Note: This guide will only work successfully if you have a car to drive around, so the first thing you'll need to do is rent a car before leaving the airport. If your phone doesn't have a built-in map app, then I suggest you to rent a GPS system with the car. The map will be a useful guide to helping you navigate around the city faster. Taking public transit is not recommended. You can't possibly go everywhere using public transit with the small time frame. Btw. I thought Toronto has bad traffic, LA is worst!
Sea and Sand at Huntington Beach
There's nothing quite like biking the 13km trail at Huntington Beach. You'll get to smell the fresh saltwater, feel the cool ocean breeze and hear the whooshing sounds of waves crashing along the way. Spend an hour or two here.

Exotic Dishes in Little Saigon
Little Saigon has plenty to offer to the food lovers. The neighborhood is filled with small, authentic restaurants, offering dishes you could not find else where, unless you were in Vietnam.

Try the Langue de Beouf (beef tongue) at  Le Croissant Dore. At 11:00am, the line-up is already out the door. The beef tongue is simply delicious and it's nothing like you'll ever expected. Another dish is the Bun Rieu at Quan Hop. They offer the best Bun Rieu (bottom left) you'll ever taste. Enjoy lunch or dinner in Litte Saigon.

Shops on Rodeo Drive
You can expect nothing less but glamor and glitz when you're on Rodeo Drive. It is definitely beautiful. If you're looking for rare collections, this is the place.

Hike the Hollywood Hills
A trip to LA wouldn't be completed if you didn't visit the Hollywood Sign. Drive up Beachwood Drive, north of Hollywood Blvd. Once you've reach the end of the road, follow the sign to the parking lot, located at the bottom of Hollyridge Trail. The trail will take about 1.5 hours to hike. Bring plenty of water for your hike. The view is amazing once you've reached the top.

Stroll through Hollywood Blvd
The world famous Grauman's Chinese Theatre, Kodak Theatre and the Hollywood Walk of Fame is all located conveniently on Hollywood Blvd. You can easily spend 3 hours exploring the streets here.

Ride the Ferris Wheel at Santa Monica Pier
You might not have enough time to do this last part fully. If you can't ride the ferris wheel, then just walk around on the pier. The parking around the pier will take you longer to find than waiting in line for the ferris wheel.
